Like 1999, this song is the moment. I feel like this song is the moment that every artist or songwriter sees happen and sometimes dreams about, and witnesses on a daily basis now with the way we're consuming social media. But you never imagine it will happen to you. I say that because this song came out middle of pandemic. We basically had two things we could do. We could either sit at home and just wait this thing out, or we could find a way to get together safely in this context. It was just a cabin in the woods with our friend Chris, just documenting everything, and music. That's literally all we had. So this moment happening, this whatever TikTok moment is really a product of us just doing anything we can to stay sane. In this case, it was us writing a song with our friend Jonathan and Charlie. We wanted to write a song that literally described the feeling of just like, man, ***'s wild right now. I wish we could go back to a time where things were just a little bit simpler. Just before these black mirrors took over our lives, and everything was done in context of what that will produce. I think that's why this song worked. Because as much as it was pumped into this machine, it came from a very important and honest and organic spot. We were not writing to put the song on TikTok. Our friend Chris, without even telling us, posted that clip of us dancing to the song because we thought we wrote a great song. That organic love and push was really like the gas in the tank for this song to become what it is. Now, I'm happy to say it's one of those songs that has truthfully changed our lives, but has very much not changed our perspective on the way we create music, or how we write, or we're not writing to post a song on TikTok tomorrow. I think every artist listening should have a grasp on that. I think with a lot of these moments happening now every day on TikTok, I think it's very easy to tell when there's passion and truly a root to it, not just like, oh, I just made this to put it up in front of people right now. I'm really proud of this song. I'm very happy to say that this is a song that changed our lives and has connected with so, so, so many people. It's unreal singing this every night on tour, just hearing thousands of people sing. The chorus is just chills every time. Yeah, shout out to Jonathan from Nightly and Charlie Adams in Nashville for jumping on that Zoom and writing the song with us because it really impacted a lot of people. So we're really thankful.
