Oh my beloved tree, can I see you again?
I carved my first love's name in springtime's glow.
A branch I stood in wonder,
gazing above,
as the tree grew tall like her love,
forever young.
Like the tree, I quietly grew.
Nothing stays the same, and neither do I fru.
My wounds go deeper, they never heal.
Perhaps in this life, they never will.
