We get out every night, but we gonna have a little more time tonight. That's all. You know, uh, this tune is dedicated to all the lovers that quarrel. Some of the time. It's also dedicated to those that quarrel all the time. And especially to the do-gooders that claim they never quarrel. You know, like, sometimes we can be cheated out of a love affair. Pride and ego can, you know, cause us to blow a good thing, you see. Like, uh, an example. Fellas, you walking with your lady, you're out somewhere. And you're about ready to step inside this building, you know, going to a club somewhere. And a cat might walk past and go, And she might go, And he might go, Nah, the cat's only complimenting what's yours. You got it, so y'all be happy, you know. But you get mad about it, right? And on the other hand, ladies, you might be out with your man somewhere. You sitting at the table like y'all, you like it right now. And maybe later in the next table, somebody might drop a bag or something. Now, you with a gentleman, so he picks it up. And she, thank you. Why did you have to be the one to pick it up? Who are you, Sir Walter Raleigh or somebody? But see, each time this thing, like, it punks your egos when it shouldn't have. So then from that comes an argument. And after that, well look, we're not compatible anyway. We don't need to be together. Let's break up. Look, I'm sick of you. It's over. I'm through with it. And you go storming out, you know, and it's over. Why break up? Why break up, man? Because, like, it's so inconvenient to break up. That's right. You see, because the first thing you got to do, you got to go through the process of shopping around for a replacement. And it's hard to find something that's unique. It's got to be unique to you because you got it. And you're going to go through all this trouble. And once you find something that you say is suitable, you know, you got to go through this very uncomfortable period. That real, that thing where you got to be very careful. You got to be a gentleman. You got to open doors. You know you don't open no damn doors. You get used to one, but you know that. Open doors and ***. But you got to impress them, you know. And then one evening when the lights are low and everything, you're mellow, you're sipping wine, and the music is soft. And the incense is just oozing all through the crib, you know. And you're almost blown. You say, I can't do that. She doesn't know me that well. So you're very uncomfortable. You see, lovers quarrel every day, but the hip ones straighten it out before it's too late. Sometimes you can, you know, go on them spite things. It's over. Goodbye.
