Ngoài rap và diễn xuất, Nas còn là một doanh nhân có nhãn hiệu riêng của mình, ông mở cửa hàng bán giày lẻ và xuất bản tạp chí. Ông hiện là nhà trợ lí xuất bản của tạp chí Mass Appeal

Sự nghiệp âm nhạc của ông bắt đầu vào năm 1991 khi ông được biết đến trên Main Source's với ca khúc 'Live at the Barbeque'.
