I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Yasin By the Wise Qur'an Indeed, you are of the messengers On a straight path A revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and they are heedless Indeed, the Word has come into effect against most of them, and they do not believe Indeed, We have placed shackles around their necks, and they are to their chins, and they are straitened And We have placed a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them, so that they do not see And it is the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe Indeed, you warn only those who follow the Reminder and fear the Most Merciful in secret So give him good tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward Indeed, it is We who give life to the dead and record what they have put forth and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear record And set forth for them an example of the people of the city when the messengers came to it When We sent to them two, but they denied them, so We strengthened with a third, and they said, We are to you messengers They said, You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not sent down anything, you are but lying They said, Our Lord knows that we are to you messengers And we are not responsible except for the clear notification They said, We have been waiting for you, and if you do not desist, we will surely strike you, and a painful punishment will touch you from us They said, Your bird is with you, if you are reminded, but you are a transgressing people And there came from the farthest part of the city a man running, he said, O my people, follow the messengers Follow those who do not ask you for a reward while they are guided And why should I not worship the One who created me and to Him you will be returned Should I take besides Him gods if the Most Merciful wants me? Without Allah, their intercession is of no avail to me, and they will not be saved Indeed, I will be in clear error Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen They said, Enter Paradise He said, Oh, I wish my people knew What my Lord has forgiven me and made me of the honored And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the sky, nor would We have sent them down It was not but a single cry, and at once they were dead Oh, what a pity for the servants that no messenger comes to them except that they ridicule him Have they not considered how many generations We have destroyed before them, that to them they will not return And if all, when all are with Us, they will be brought And a sign for them is the dead earth. We gave life to it and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat And We placed therein gardens of date palms and grapevines, and We caused therein to burst forth springs That they may eat of its fruit, and that which their hands have made. Will they not then be grateful Exalted is He who created all species from that which the earth grows, and from themselves, and from that which they know not And a sign for them is the night. We make day from it, and at once they are oppressed And the sun runs to a place of rest for it. That is the decree of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing And the moon, We have made it a resting place until it returns to you, the old cradle The sun should not reach the moon, nor should the night overtake the day, and all will swim in its orbit And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the loaded ship And We created for them from the like of Me that which they ride And if We willed, We could cause them to burn, but there would be no cry for them, nor would they be saved Except as a mercy from Us and a provision for a time And when it is said to them, Be mindful of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that you may be shown mercy And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away from them And when it is said to them, Spend from that which Allah has provided for you Those who disbelieve say to those who believe, Should we feed those whom Allah would have fed? You are not but in manifest error And they say, When is this promise, if you are truthful? They do not descend except a single blast that overtakes them while they are disputing So they are not able to make a commandment, nor do they return to their people And the trumpet is blown, and at once they descend from the graves to their Lord They say, Woe to us! Who has raised us from our bed? This is what the Most Merciful promised and the Messengers spoke the truth It is not but a single blast, and at once they are all brought before Us So today no soul will be wronged in the least, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do Indeed, the companions of Paradise today are busy, thinking They and their spouses are in shade on couches, reclining They will have therein fruit, and they will have that which they ask for Peace is a word from the Lord, the Merciful And be exalted today, O you who are criminals Did I not make a covenant to you, O Children of Adam, that you would not worship Satan? Indeed, he is to you a manifest enemy And that you worship me, this is a straight path And indeed, he has led many of you astray. Have you not then understood? This is Hell, which you were promised Burn therein today for what you used to disbelieve Today We will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness to what they used to earn And if We willed, We could have wiped over their eyes, but they hastened to the path, so how could they see? And if We willed, We could have wiped over their eyes, but they hastened to the path, so how could they see? And whosoever We cause to live, We cause him to die in creation. Do they not then understand? And We have not taught him poetry, nor is it appropriate for him. It is naught but a reminder and a clear Qur'an That He may warn those who are alive, and that the Word may be justified against the disbelievers Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made cattle, and they are its owners And We have made it low for them, and from it they ride and from it they eat And for them therein are benefits and drinkings. Will they not then be grateful? And they have taken besides Allah gods that they may be helped They will not be able to help them, and they will have armies brought forth So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare Does man not see that We have created him from a sperm, and at once he is a manifest adversary? And He sets forth for us an example, and He forgets His creation. He says, Who will give life to bones while they are scattered? Say, He will give life to it who created it the first time, and He is Knowing of every creation Who made for you from the green tree a fire, and at once you light from it Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create like them? Yes, and He is the Knowing Creator When He wills a thing, His command is only to say to it, Be, and it is So exalted is He in Whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you will be returned Allah Almighty has spoken the truth
